The Dragn Bat Festival， als called the Duanwu Festival， is celebrated n the fifth day f the fifth mnth accrding t the Chinese calendar. This festival is t cmmemrate the death f QU Yuan， an upright and hnest pet and statesman wh is said t have cmmitted suicide by drwning himself in a river.

端午節(jié)，也稱(chēng)端午節(jié)，是根據(jù)中國(guó)歷法在第五個(gè)月的第五天慶祝的。這個(gè)節(jié)日是為了紀(jì)念屈原的死，他是一個(gè)正直誠(chéng)實(shí)的詩(shī)人和政治家，據(jù)說(shuō)他自盡于河中。

Zngzi is a traditinal custm f the Dragn Bat Festival. First f all, prepare the zngzi leaves. The zngzi leaves f the ld Beijing dumplings are usually reed leaves. They are called Zngye leaves n the dumplings. Next is t prepare the stuffing in the dumplings, put the stuffing in the leaves f zngzi, and the rice dumplings are finished.
包粽子是端午節(jié)的一種傳統(tǒng)風(fēng)俗。首先要準(zhǔn)備好粽子葉，老北京包粽子的粽子葉一般是葦葉，用在包粽子上就被稱(chēng)為粽葉。其次則是準(zhǔn)備粽子里面的餡料，將餡料置于粽葉中，粽子則完成了。

日本自古以來(lái)就有過(guò)中國(guó)節(jié)的傳統(tǒng)。在日本，端午的習(xí)慣是在平安時(shí)代以后由中國(guó)傳入日本的。從明治時(shí)代開(kāi)始，各節(jié)日都改為公歷日。日本的端午節(jié)是公歷5月5日。端午節(jié)的習(xí)俗傳到日本之后，被吸收改造成為日本的傳統(tǒng)文化。日本人在這一天不劃龍舟，但也跟中國(guó)人一樣會(huì)吃粽子，并在門(mén)前掛出菖蒲草。在1948年，端午節(jié)被日本政府正式定為法定的兒童節(jié)，成為日本五大節(jié)日之一。端午節(jié)成為傳統(tǒng)的風(fēng)俗，日本人稱(chēng)“艾旗招百福，蒲劍斬千邪”。節(jié)日特有飲食有日本粽和柏餅。
